Years ago, trees were adorned with hand-made ornaments. These stunning ornaments are hand-sewn at our farm using the cathedral window traditional quilt pattern. Each is 4-inches tip-to-tip and made of gold colored metallic cloth and filled with soft cotton batting.
Tree Disposal Bags
When the holiday season is over, we are all presented with the problem of getting the tree out of the house quickly and easily. These bags offer the ultimate solution. The bag is placed around the base of the tree when you first put the tree up. It is white, so it makes a nice surround. When you are ready to take the tree down, remove the decorations and simply pull the bag up around the tree and tie the top closed.
Everyone has heard of some home-brewed formula to preserve the tree once it is cut - everything from aspirin to sugar-water. Some work, some don't. Why take a chance! This commercial preservative is based on the same formulation that florists use to extend the life of their floral arrangements. One bag makes a generous two gallons.
